The contract worth more than £200,000, lasting three years, will see the Edinburgh-headquartered network operator overhaul Duncan and Todd Group’s WAN solutions, linking it up to Commsworld’s UK-wide Optical Core Network.
This will provide the business with access to the network’s ultra-fast connectivity, as well as the resiliency and flexibility needed for a digitally-advanced business with branches across Scotland.
Bruce Strang, Chief Operating Officer of Commsworld, said: “We are delighted to have secured this contract with Duncan and Todd Group. The role that digital and data connectivity plays in our daily lives has never been more important.
“So it is heartening that a business like Duncan and Todd Group is fully embracing the connectivity we have to offer. Ross McLellan, Chief Financial Officer of Duncan and Todd Group, said: “We are delighted to have formed a new relationship with Commsworld and are looking forward to our new digital service providing the connectivity and resiliency to drive forward our virtual services.
“Duncan and Todd Group supports thousands of people each week across Scotland, providing expert eye and hearing care, repairing and replacing glasses, delivering contact lenses and wide choice of frames styles matched with the latest lens technology.
